
Kansas City Man Gets 13+ Years For Bank Robbery
KANSAS CITY, KAN. – A Kansas City man has been sentenced to more than 13 years in federal prison for robbing the Country Club Bank in Leavenworth, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.
Dale K. Hill, 52, Kansas City, Mo., was sentenced to 161 months in federal prison. Hill pleaded guilty one count of armed bank robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm during the robbery. In his plea, he admitted that on Sept. 13, 2011, he and co-defendant Donnique H. Kelley entered the Country Club Bank at 2310 S. 4th Street in Leavenworth. During the robbery, Kelly held a black handgun and pointed it at the tellers.
After the robbery, Hill and Kelley fled from the bank, first in a black SUV and later in a bright orange Dodge Challenger. Police pursued the car into Missouri where two men were taken into custody.
Co-defendant Donnique H. Kelley was sentenced to 130 months in federal prison.
Grissom commended the Leavenworth Police Department, the Lansing Police Department, the Kansas Highway Patrol, the FBI and Assistant U.S. Attorney Terra Morehead for their work on the case.
